oh my god I just heard the advertisement in Mass Effect 2 for Hamlet played by an all-elcor cast and I literally fell to the floor laughing
for those who are unaware, elcor have a completely flat, monotone style of speech, and cannot portray emotion in ways that are detectable by other species, and so they preface every sentence they speak with the tone you should interpret them using
so needless to say the idea of an elcor trying to act out Shakespeare is just
hilarious

If I’d bought Mass Effect (It’s in the first game, too) when I was in high school, I would have suggested Elcor speech to the other 4 people in my senior year English class, it would have made their reading of Shakespeare just a smidge better…..
